Favorite Books List

The Secret Garden
by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1888)

As an adult, this story is about the ability of people to transform and the healing power of nature and love. As a kid I think it was just the best hideaway I could imagine.

A Prayer for Owen Meany
by John Irving (1989)

Funny, creepy, sad . . . I will never forget this character.

no death, no fear
by Thich Nhat Hanh (2002)

My mother gave me this book. I picked it up in the months after she died and it changed the way I look at life everyday.

Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place
by Terry Tempest Williams (1991)

Amazing, but requires tissues.

One Hundred Years of Solitude
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (1967)

This might be my favorite novel. SO worth the work.
